1

Acceptance of terms

By accessing the site or using any of the Services you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site or engage us. These terms apply alongside any written quotation or order confirmation, which prevails in the event of conflict on the specific matter it addresses.

2

The Services

We supply natural stone materials, provide cutting and finishing to specification, and offer paid consultation and on-site measurement. The catalog and planning tools on the site are provided to help you explore options; they do not constitute an offer or a guarantee of availability.

3

Quotations and orders

Quotations are valid for the period stated on them and are subject to material availability at the time of order. An order is formed only when we confirm it in writing. We may decline or cancel an order where material cannot be sourced to the agreed standard, in which case any payment made for undelivered items is refunded.

4

Natural variation of stone

Natural stone varies in colour, veining, texture and tone from piece to piece and from the samples shown. Such variation is an inherent characteristic of the material and is not a defect. Where appearance is critical we recommend selecting from the actual slabs before fabrication; you accept that no two lots will be identical.

5

Samples and measurement

Samples are provided to indicate type and finish and may differ from delivered material. On-site measurements are carried out with reasonable care; where you provide dimensions yourself, you are responsible for their accuracy and for any fabrication based upon them.

6

Prices and payment

Prices for materials, fabrication and consultation are set out in your quotation and are exclusive of taxes and delivery unless stated otherwise. Payment terms are specified at order confirmation. We may require a deposit before fabrication begins. Title to goods passes on full payment; risk passes on delivery.

7

Delivery and installation

Delivery dates are estimates and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for installation unless it is expressly included in your order. Where we deliver, you must ensure safe and lawful access to the site. Custom-fabricated items are made to your specification and cannot be returned once production has begun, except where they are defective.

8

Cancellation and returns

Stock materials in their original condition may be returned within the period stated at order, subject to a restocking charge. Custom-fabricated items and cut-to-size material are non-returnable unless defective. To report a defect, contact us promptly with details so we can inspect the item.

9

Acceptable use of the site

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with its operation, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access where use threatens the security or integrity of the Services.

10

Intellectual property

All content on the site, including text, photographs, graphics and the Lunar Quarry name and mark, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. You may view and print pages for your own planning use but may not reproduce or distribute them commercially without our written permission.

11

Warranties and disclaimers

We provide the Services with reasonable skill and care. Except as required by law, the site and its content are provided "as is" without further warranty. We do not warrant that stone selected for one application is suitable for another; our consultation advice is given in good faith on the information you provide.

12

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from an order is limited to the amount paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

13

Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version in force at the date of your order governs that order. We will post the current version here with the date above updated.

14

Sample sets

A sample set contains up to five stones chosen to suit the application you describe and costs ¥3,500. We aim to deliver within three working days to the Tokyo wards and most of greater Tokyo. The fee is credited in full against an order for more than ten square metres placed with us. Samples are small cut pieces and remain our property unless you keep them; we do not ask for them back.

15

Consultations and measurement visits

The first conversation about your room or site is free. A full on-site template and measurement visit carries a fee, which we credit back when you go ahead with fabrication. For the visit to be useful, the surfaces to be covered must be accessible, services such as water and gas must already be positioned, and cabinets or sub-floors must be fixed in their final place. If they are moved afterwards, a second visit may be needed and we cannot be responsible for cuts made to the earlier template.

16

Catalogue prices and lead times

The prices shown on the site are indicative figures per square metre for a standard honed finish at 20 mm thickness. Different thickness, format, finish, edging, cut-outs and delivery change the figure, and your written quotation is what binds us. Consumption tax is added at the rate in force. Lead times are given by stone family, from two to three weeks for granite to three to five weeks for basalt, and run from the day we confirm your order and receive any deposit.

17

Care, sealing and use

Each stone behaves differently. Marble and limestone are marked by acids such as lemon, vinegar and some cleaners; honed limestone needs sealing before it is used in a kitchen; flamed basalt grips well but holds dirt unless it is brushed. We hand over care notes with every installation. Damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products, impact or use that differs from the application you described to us is not a defect.

18

Visiting the showroom and yard

Please call ahead before visiting the Shinsuna showroom so that a member of the team can walk you through the yard. Slabs are heavy and stored upright on racks: do not lean on or climb the racks, keep children with you and follow the instructions of our staff. We are not liable for injury caused by ignoring those instructions.

19

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
